Konica Minolta launches new SRA3 monochrome range

16 October 2020

Konica Minolta has already refreshed their entire color range of office and departmental copiers, and now it's time for the monochrome machines to be upgraded - quite significantly.

The i-Series bizhub 750i/650i/550i/450i/360i/300i replace the bizhub 758/658e/558e/458e/368e/308e machines.

The brand is highlighting how access to the Konica Minolta MarketPlace is available on all these machines, meaning buyers of these machines can add any of these IT services at any time.

All the new machines have Bitdefender anti-virus as an additional option.  Another security option is bizhub SECURE, a wide-ranging security management app which provides multiple levels of security for firmware and networking on the machines.

The old range could all have up to a maximum of 4 GB of RAM, but the new machines come with 8 GB as standard, and a 256 GB SSD for storage.  As with their color stablemates, they can have a 1 TB SSD as an additional option.

A few other features worth noting:
  • Feeding down from Konica Minolta's production printing developments, the new machines can sense both paper weight and type, and then adjust print motor settings accordingly.  As well as improving print quality and reducing downtimes from paper jams, this will save the user a lot of time messing about in grammage settings.
  • The single-pass document feeder has a double-feed sensor, crucial for efficient archiving.
  • The four fastest machines of the range have an optional 300-sheet capacity, 280 ipm document feeder.
  • The new interface is a little bigger, 10 inches - and can be tilted 90 degrees, allowing better visibility for wheelchair users.
  • They are all certified EPEAT Gold, meaning that they are low-impact machines coming from clean manufacturing facilities.

All information on these new machines will be available on your DataMaster Online service very shortly!
