New range of Altalink MFPs from Xerox

16 July 2020

With no announcement at all that we can see, Xerox has updated their AltaLink range of MFPs, both color and monochrome.  These are the higher end of the Xerox range, printing onto SRA3 and at A4/Letter speeds from 30 ppm up to 72 ppm.
These are devices made by Fujifilm.
There are really very few differences between the AltaLink C8000 series and the new 8100 series, but the addition of banner printing as an option is an important one.  The fastest color machine, the AltaLink C8070 has been given the scanner Xerox put on the PrimeLink light production range (if not the feeder itself), boosting its scan speed from 139 ipm (duplex, color A4 originals) to as fast as 270 ipm.  This feeder can handle extremely fine papers - down to A6 in size, 38 gsm - and has a capacity of up to 250 sheets.
Also worth noting, the new internal finisher is available on four of the models (all but the C8070), and can now deliver a 2-point staple.  The new machines' hard disk is a 500 GB one.
The Versalink ranges remain untouched.
